Using SFX and BGM sounds #Godot3.x

Ogg audio files are compressed to a small size but sound similar to wav files, which are several times larger.

Whether or not to loop the sound depends on the sound import into Godot. At first, dragging the sound file in will loop it automatically. And even if you don't check Loop in Inspector, when you press F5 to test the game, it still loops. To fix it, click on the sound file and go to Import, uncheck Loop, and press the Reimport button.

The mp3 audio file looks similar to the ogg audio file in every way except that the file encoding is a little smaller.

The wav audio file is large, and when you import the file, it will not loop automatically, so people like to use it as SFX. But I don't because the audio file is large.

Comparative (uncertain)
